Full-Time Substitute Teacher
Kid’s Harbor is seeking an individual that has great multi-tasking skills, shows initiative, and wants to be a supportive team member with a willingness to help where needed. The person chosen for this position must have a heart for ministry and a desire to influence the lives of youth with the love of Christ.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:15am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:30pm depending on where subbing is needed at that time, if not needed to sub; hours are 8:00am-5:00pm helping in all rooms throughout the day.
This position is Full-Time (40hrs/week)
Be ready to sub any open shifts in any room needed
Perform any needed cleaning
Float in rooms 8:00am-8:30am, 4:30pm-5:00pm, or as subbing requires
Being a team player, ready to help and assist anywhere needed with or without being asked
Engaging parents, smiling at them, and knowing their needs and tending to them in the hall

Elementary Afterschool/Summer Day Camp Core Teacher
Provide leadership and flexibility for the Kid’s Harbor elementary program. Create and maintain age-appropriate, clean, stimulating, and welcoming classroom environment.
Share meaningful relationships with each child that will show the love of Christ. Pray for, support, and encourage fellow team members. Communicate well and develop relationships with the children’s parents.
Plan daily activities for elementary program staff and children including weekly summer field trips. Participate in quarterly Kid’s Harbor all-staff meetings. Work with the Kid’s Harbor Director to vision and plan for future growth of the Kid’s Harbor elementary program.
Sub in preschool rooms where needed before afterschool hours begin at 3:00pm everyday during school year. Two and a half hours per week will be dedicated to a planning period to provide time for lesson planning for Afterschool and Summer Day Camp Program.
There is an age requirement of at least 21 years of age as that is a requirement to be added to our van insurance.
For 10 weeks of the year the hours for this position are 7:15am-4:30pm in our Summer Day Camp program while County and City Schools are on Summer Break. Once the school year starts for County and City Schools, this position is subbing where needed each day 8:30am-3:00pm and then 3:00pm-5:30pm in Afterschool for the other 42 weeks of the year.

This position allows you to get to know all the children and families in the program through subbing while also getting to implement creativity and lesson plans for the School-Age kiddos
The privilege to pray with and for the children as well as do devotionals and share His word with them daily
Getting to join the children on weekly Field Trips throughout the Summer
CPR/First Aid Training and MAT (Medication Administration Training) is required for this position and paid for by Kid’s Harbor
