Full-day Assistant - Infant Classroom (Thursday, Friday)

Partner with Core Teacher to create and maintain an age appropriate, clean, stimulating, and welcoming classroom environment.  Provide individual care for and demonstrate compassion, patience, creativity, and perseverance with each child.  Utilize appropriate and creative activities to promote an age appropriate environment of social development and learning.  Share meaningful relationships with each child that will show the love of Christ.   Communicate well and develop relationships with the children’s parents.   Willingness to be a team player.  Position begins May 1, 2017.  Specific hours are 8:00 - 4:30, Thursday and Friday.

Middle School Core Teacher

Kid’s Harbor is seeking a fun, talented and energetic individual with strong customer service skills, enthusiasm for middle schoolers and flexibility.  Qualified candidate must have a heart for ministry and a desire to influence the lives of youth with the love of Christ.

  • Providing a safe, healthy environment with a relaxed atmosphere
  • Providing homework assistance (for After School Program)
  • Teaching and modeling skills necessary to develop positive relationships and resolve conflicts peacefully
  • Offering challenging and innovative activities
  • Providing guidance for students in developing interests, talents, skills and self-confidence
  • Reducing potential for risk-taking behaviors or participation in delinquent activities


Responsibilities:  Supervision and instruction, provide morning and afternoon snack, plan/schedule activities, field-trips, devotion/Bible study lessons (planning time flexible), classroom cleaning, direct and indirect communication with parents.

Monday – Friday, 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Full-time position runs from June 12 - August 21.  Training prior to start date.
Option for part-time summer employment

Leadership Team Position

We are accepting applications for a position on the Kid’s Harbor Leadership Team.  The successful candidate will be a people person, flexible, able to multi-task, organized, detail-oriented and have computer and database skills.  Experience with staffing in an organization is a plus.  This individual must also demonstrate leadership skills and have a heart for ministry.  The deadline to submit an application is March 3.  An Application for Employment is required.

The appropriate candidate for this position should have experience working with children and be available for eight hour shifts at least three days a week.  Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and self-motivation are critical traits for this person. Shifts for the substitute position will vary based on hours of availability.
