Partner with Core Teacher to create and maintain an age appropriate, clean, stimulating, and welcoming classroom environment. Provide individual care for and demonstrate compassion, patience, creativity, and perseverance with each child. Utilize appropriate and creative activities to promote an age appropriate environment of social development and learning. Share meaningful relationships with each child that will show the love of Christ. Communicate well and develop relationships with the children’s parents. Willingness to be a team player. Position begins May 1, 2017. Specific hours are 8:00 - 4:30, Thursday and Friday.
Partner with lead teachers to provide outstanding care for children, including leading crafts and other activities, supervising and interacting with children during free-play, changing diapers or pull-ups as needed, communication with parents, evening cleaning/closing responsibilities, etc.
Must be high-energy and have a heart for ministry, seeking to influence the lives of young children with the love of Christ. Shifts available are 3:30-6:00 p.m., two to five evenings per week. Summer positions run May 30 through August 21. Training to take place prior to May 30. Options for fall employment as well.

The appropriate candidate for this position should have experience working with children and be available for eight hour shifts at least three days a week. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and self-motivation are critical traits for this person. Shifts for the substitute position will vary based on hours of availability.
