Substitu​te

The appropriate candidate for this position should have experience working with children and be available for eight hour shifts at least three days a week.  Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and self-motivation are critical traits for this person. Shifts for the substitute position will vary based on hours of availability.

Long Term Substitu​te

The appropriate candidate for this position should have experience working with children and be available 40 hours per week.  Positions are as follows:

 

          3 Year Old Classroom

          Position opens mid April

          Duration:  12 weeks

          Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


EVENING ASSISTANTS (Infants, Toddlers & Preschool)

Partner with Lead Teachers to provide outstanding care for children, including leading crafts and other activities, supervising and interacting with children during free-play, changing diapers or pull-ups as needed, communication with parents, evening cleaning/closing responsibilities, etc. 


Shifts are from 3:30-6:00 p.m., two to five evenings per week. Summer positions run May 26 through August 14.  Training to take place prior to May 26.  Options for fall employment as well.


FULL-TIME POSITIONS (School-age Assistants, Rising K Assistant)

Provide support to Lead Teachers by assisting in:  planning & implementing daily activities, classroom management, supervision of children at Kid's Harbor & on fieldtrips, etc.  Develop positive relationships with each child & child's family, classroom cleaning/closing responsibilities, and more.


Shifts are seven to eight hours, M-F.  Summer positions run May 26 or June 8 through August 24.  Options for part-time employment in the After School Program in the fall as well.
